You can settle for another run-of-the-mill three-row grocery-getter or you can grab the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat, which, as the name suggests, is a whole different monster. In simple terms, it’s a muscle car with three rows.

Unleash Power With the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat

Yes, It Has a Hemi

We called the Durango SRT Hellcat a muscle car, and here’s why. Classic muscle cars all followed a pretty simple formula: take your biggest, baddest engine and cram it into an otherwise ordinary car. That’s what Dodge did here. They took a normal three-row SUV and dropped in a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8, the most powerful SUV gas engine in the business.

The numbers are obviously absurd in the best way possible. 710 horsepower. 645 pound-feet of torque. Zero to sixty in just 3.5 seconds. And it can still tow 8,700 pounds, meaning you can haul a sports car to the track and outrun it when you get there.

Key Performance Components

Sure, the Hemi V8 rightly steals the show, but there’s a ton of hardware making this thing the fun-machine it is. Up front, a cold-air scoop in the lower fascia feeds the supercharger and that beastly 92-mm throttle body, helping the engine breathe easier and hit harder. Out back, the exhaust is tuned to belt out that signature Dodge growl.

Putting that power to work is a TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission, complete with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters and seven available drive modes: Auto, Sport, Track, Snow, Tow, Eco, and Valet (because even parking attendants need protection from all this fury). A full-time all-wheel drive system is standard, and when it’s time to reel all that madness back in, big, beefy Brembo brakes are on duty.

Three Special Editions

To mark twenty years of Hemi-powered goodness, Dodge is offering the Durango SRT Hellcat in a trio of special editions: Hammerhead, Silver Bullet, and Brass Monkey. All three come loaded with high-end features, including a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, carbon fiber interior accents, ventilated front seats, and leather seating surfaces. Where they start to show off is in the details.

The Hammerhead edition rocks Night Moves (dark blue) paint job, Gray Laguna seats, black-painted brake calipers, and satin carbon wheels. The Silver Bullet edition is finished in an eye-catching Triple Nickel color. It also gets Ebony red Nappa leather seats, red-painted brake calipers, and satin black wheels with a lights-out finish. The last edition, the Brass Monkey, wears a red oxide body color, Sepia Laguna seats, black calipers, and brass monkey wheels.

There’s no dull moment behind the wheel of the 2025 Durango SRT Hellcat. To test drive it, contact Acadiana Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Fiat in Lafayette, LA.
