Our Legacy

30 years ago, Adrian Vega opened the doors of Acadiana Dodge, Inc. with his wife, Rita. His journey was not easy. He came to America as a Cuban refugee when he was only twelve years old. When he was 18, he started sweeping the floors and delivering cars for Dependable Dodge. He met Mrs. Rita when he was delivering a vehicle to her parent’s home in Acadiana, and they were married less than a year later.

Their hard work over the years led them to be able to open Acadiana Dodge Inc, in 1991. Adrian handled the day-to-day operations and always took care of his employees. Mrs. Rita was the backbone of the dealership. She truly cared for the employees and the customers.

Mr. and Mrs. Vega founded a business built on trust, integrity, and perseverance, and we still hold true to those values today. We are so honored to continue the legacy of Mr. and Mrs. Vega 30 years later, under the big American flag.

“It’s a true American success story,” said General Manager Glen Fritscher. “Mr. Vega and his wife developed a wonderful business while also giving a lot to the community. The fact that it has always been family-owned is tremendous. We have a lot of employees who have been here for the entire 30 years. It’s not a corporation. It really is a family.”
