Dodge is at it again!  They are bringing back a classic but in an all-new rendition. Meet the 2025 Dodge Hornet. It’s an SUV but with an attitude! Let’s take a look at this all-new sporty SUV.

Meet the 2025 Dodge Hornet: Compact SUV With Attitude

Dodge has reincarnated yet another vehicle from their nostalgic lineup, this time with the Hornet. Flipping the industry upside down by developing it as an SUV instead of a sports sedan as its predecessor was from back in the 1970s. Dodge re-released a concept of the Hornet in an updated sedan version in 2006, but production didn’t start until 2023. It follows in the footsteps of re-imaging its muscle cars such as the Charger and Challenger. Four trims are available, but today we are focusing on the GT Model.

Overview

The bold new design of the Hornet is making its mark in the SUV industry. Dodge engineers claim it is “Kicking butt and taking names”. It is the most powerful SUV on the market and unlike any other SUV available today. It comes standard with a 2-liter, inline-4-cylinder intercooled turbo engine pumping out 268 horsepower to its grippy AWD system. Supplying that power is a 9-speed automatic transmission. With a combined fuel economy of 24mpg, it’s not terrible on the wallet, for the performance you receive from it.

Exterior & Interior

Most SUVs have softer lines. Not the Hornet. It has rugged exterior lines. It demands attention. It garners looks from passers-by, and it pays homage to the rest of the Dodge lineup. It comes standard with 17-inch aluminum wheels and tires, accompanied by four-wheel disc brakes, to stop all that power when you need it to. It also comes standard with LED high and low beam lights and LED taillights. The Hornet also comes with certain amenities to make your commute easier, like directional signals for lane change visibility, and heaters in the side mirrors for those frosty and snowy days. Don’t let the four doors fool you, this isn’t your typical grocery-getter!

The interior is robust as well. The seating capacity is for five people, and remote keyless entry provides easy accessibility. Illuminated mirrors for both passenger and driver. The rear seats fold in a 60/40 split for larger cargo items. The tilting and telescoping steering wheel allows for custom driver setup. Bluetooth connectivity allows music to flow through the six-speaker audio system. The list goes on and on, but you will have to sit inside the new Hornet to truly appreciate all it has to offer.
